Green fees are in the resort range: $85-$185, seasonally.

    The Pines at Marana
8480 N. Continental Links Dr., Tucson AZ 85743; Tel. 520.744.7443
Originally known as the Links at Continental Ranch, the Pines is the result of a quarry reclamation project that resulted in half of this Tucson golf course being relocated to an abandoned quarry. The result is a fabulous three-star municipal golf course that features unique landscape and course design shaped by existing terrain. Green fees are in the $20-$80 range and vary seasonally.

    Randolph Park Golf Course
    600 S. Alvernon Way, Tucson AZ 85711; Tel. 520.791.4161
This municipal Tucson golf course is home to the annual PING/Welch's LPGA Championship. This is the longest golf course in the Tucson municipal system, coming in at just over 7,000 yards. The course features plenty of water and sand, and is well maintained for the amount of traffic it hosts. Green fees are in the $10-$40 range.

    Starr Pass Golf Club
3645 W. Starr Pass Blvd., Tucson AZ 85745; Tel. 520.670.0400
This recently renovated luxury course got its facelift from the Arnold Palmer design team. This Tucson golf course is as natural as it gets, considered a true desert course with cacti and sage lining the fairways. The vistas are outstanding, as with most Tucson courses, but the conditions of the course are its top feature. Green fees are in the $50-$125 range and vary seasonally.

Ventana Canyon Golf and Racquet Club
    6200 N. Clubhouse Ln., Tucson, AZ 85750; Tel. 520.577.4061
This 36-hole resort features two four-and-a-half star Tom Fazio Championship courses: the Canyon course (6,819 yards), and the Mountain course (6,907 yards). Both feature spectacular course design indicative of the terrain each is named for. This is a must play golf destination in Arizona, and reviewers just gush over both courses. Fees are up there in the $100-$200 range, but this Tucson golf course is well worth the price.
